Whilst the world has been put on the couch by COVID-19, we have used the forced closure to make our piece of paradise ideal for the “post COVID world”. Recently we have added :
- WiFi (we fought it up to now but we want people to be able to work remotely)
- Solar power
- A thriving veggie/herb garden
- New separate seating around the campfire
- COVID cleaning protocols to our cleaning regime
With 4 x private and detached 2 bedroom cottages, set on 40 acres, in the beautiful Barrington Coast region, Barrington Hideaway has always been a popular destination for groups who want to connect but maintain space.
With the passing of the crippling drought the beautiful Barrington River has sprung back to life and kayaking, fishing and platypus/ wildlife spotting options have returned better than ever.
Due to the uncertain reopening timeframe and the volume of enquires, we are implementing a structured “post covid” booking approach to ensure we are enabling as many people as possible to enjoy a break and minimising any lingering covid risk at the same time.
To come and visit the Gloucester region and Barrington Hideaway when travel restrictions lift, we are requesting that people express their interest to escape to paradise based on the following booking options:
Single booking of 4 x cottages (for up to 16 people) for 4 nights. Suggested itinerary:

Friday: Work remote then catch up at distance around the campfire
Saturday: Active day (kayak, mountain bike, hike, bush walk) then have a BBQ (each cottage has a Webber)
Sunday: A lazy morning then tackle the scenic Buccan Buccans scenic walk
